After a full evening of games and dancing we moved upstairs to the dining room for a feast! Karin, Birgitta and others all helped to cook a wonderful meal complete with meatballs, potatoes au gratin, salmon, hams, cheese, salad, Jansson's frestelse (Jansson's Temptation), and more... Dinner was wonderful... and soon after... as is tradition... Kalle pulled out his guitar and we all got our song sheets and began a lengthy rally of singing and toasting. I should not fail to mention that Snapps was shared plentifully among the guests. Here are some photos of the main event.
Here is a sample of one song we sang called Helan Går:
"Helan går, sjung hopp faderallan lallan lej...
Helan går, sjung hopp faderallan lej...
Och den som inte helan tar han heller inte halvan får...
Helan går, sjung hopp faderallan lej!"
(ended with SKÅL of course)
And this is a song called:
"När gäddorna leka
När gäddorna leka i vikar och vass
och solar går ner bakom Sjöbloms dass.
Ja, då är det vår.
Ja, då är det vår."
(Skål)
This was a fantastic evening to celebrate two wonderful happenings in the Risén family. First, our cousin Karolina is going to have a baby and second Nina and Robert will be married. The family is getting bigger so that we have another generation to carry on the family traditions.
Thank you so much to Ulf and Karin for their generosity... SKÅL!

BLOG OUT. We are packed (well I am, Jeanne mostly is). This is my final look and entry. WE ARE COMING TO JOIN IN ON THE FUN.
OH Jonas what a fine fine gift this site is to your wonderful little sister and her groom to be!! Story telling is another of your many talents. After reading your daily postings I feel as though I am with you all.
As I read today's information I am sitting on top of my suitcase chanting to the "please let my suitcase miraculously close - please let supernatural powers compress all contents of this vessel!" I am still waiting from response from the compression gods... Not too much progress thus far but I am extremely optimistic. I must be.
YIPEEE we leave for the Risen Guercio Swedish Wedding Adventure tomorrow (Sund. 25.june). We will see you guys hopefully on Monday afternoon if you guys are not too busy partying. We miss you all and are eager to hear more stories and enjoy the beautiful land of Sweden.
Please keep fingers crossed that the compression gods do bless me with "closure" otherwise I might be having CLOSURE in my marriage!! HEhehe.
